As long as it meets the hardware requirements, you should be able to load it normally with the Windows install media.

I run the mac and windows side by side using parallels desktop.

Basic parallels turns the mac into a VM in which you install a copy of Windows which then works almost as normal ... though there are limitations for example the keyboard.

I for one am happy with the arrangement though I am still learning.

Also, you'll need to make sure all hardware devices have applicable Windows drivers.  I have seen Windows 7 loaded on plenty of MAC's without any issues.

For parallels, do you purchase it and a copy of windows?  And fairly easy to install?

VMware also makes a product called Fusion that allows you to run Windows as a VM on your Mac. The Windows license would have to be purchased separately.

Really all I want is to run Windows Excel 2007 on a Mac, but have it run as it were 100% on a windows computer.
