Using Linksy's Router for file sharing, etc.

I have a Linksy's E2000 Router that was suggested we purchase for making a small network. We have 3 laptops that need access to the same files (Access Database) from one computer. Can this work? If so, how do I go about setting it up?

You can set up a folder share via windows, but will probably need a static IP for the machine the database resides on.

OK, this will be used as a router between the computers only, with no internet connection. Should I just choose any IP then?
Yeah, but I would still keep it static so that you can point the other machines to the shared folder easier, and create a shortcut knowing the IP will stay the same. As rebooting the machine may cause it to grab a new IP, etc. I use static just to keep my life simple.
