Security issues to be considered while deploying VDI

Hi..

Can some one provide pointers on the Security issues that we need to consider while deploying VDI.

-Virtualized desktops can be deployed in a non-volatile state, so that reduces malware threats, though it doesn't eliminate.  Many choose to leave malware protection off of their non-volatile VDI due to performance issues, though leaving it off still leaves the VDI susceptible to malware until it is rebooted.

-Fault tolerance is a big concern.  Make sure the infrastructure is designed with fault tolerance in mind.  VDI is a shift towards centralized management, so that centralized infrastructure needs to be resistant to downtime.

-Remote access needs to be secured.  Citrix has several products available to better secure remote access to their virtualized applications and/or desktops, such as Access Gateway and Secure Gateway.
