iPad to Ethernet

I will be staying in a hotel that has high-speed internet connectivity (ethernet) but not Wi-Fi in the room.   If I bring my own wireless router, can I use my iPad to connect to the hotel's network?

Most likely it would work, but doesn't it make you wish Apple followed industry standards from time to time, instead of doing all they can screw with their customers?

It should do, yes. The router should bridge between the 2 networks. You may find that your iPad connects to the router fine but that you have no Internet. You would then need to login to the routers admin interface as you might want to change it's default network IP address and DHCP scope to match that of the hotel, in case it doesn't bridge the connections.

Good luck!
Maybe it's easier to take a small Access Point instead of a router. Only setup you're wireless network/security and leave/set the networksettings to DHCP.
