Exchange Installation Error

The current exchange is on windows server 2008 and exchange is 2007 sp1. I am going to install x86 of exchange 2007 on a windows XP machine for exporting PSTs. Both client and server are updated. I have installed all the updates on both machines. XP is already SP3. I have installed all the necessory pre-reqs but still I am getting an error that "Exception : System.Management.Automation.CmdletInvocationException: The system cannot find the file specified" I have attached the Exchange setup Log as well. Please help

Maybe it is becouse Exchange 2007 is not supported in Windows XP OS? On that OS you can install only management tools.

I believe that I misunderstood the author... :)
Have you tried to install it using EXchange 2007 SP1 installation?

Update:

I did the installation with SP3 and it works for me. I forgot that the setup wizard will straight go to installation and it will not prompt to install roles as I thought as this is only mgmt tool

Please try the sme management tool provided from microsoft and let me know if it works !!!!

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=6be38633-7248-4532-929b-76e9c677e802&displaylang=en

I am downloading by the same link
I have downloaded from the same link and tried but got the same error
OK can you go to your AD server and run ADSIEDIT tool in there and then connect using Configuration and browse to this CN=Configuration... \ CN=Services \ CN=Microsoft Exchnage \ CN=[Organization name]\CN=Administrative Group \ CN= Exchnage Administrative Toools \ CN = Servers

I want you to tell me if any servers listed there and if they are the right exchnage servers as I noticed another portion of your logs that shows ""CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,DC=SERVER,DC=com" can not find the file specified. This is the first "Can not find file error" in your logs which I think that the setup can't find the configuration partition of your AD

Also can you attach the new log you have after the last attempt. it will be the same old file but today's attempt will be logged at the end of the file. You can attach the whole file

Thanks
2nd update:

When I did the installation, I was having already Exchnage management tool installed so it didn't prompt me to roles selection

So to simulate your case, I have completely removed my exchnage installation and then re-install the management tool. Just to check while installing the mgmt tool; did you click Customize (don't click Typical Install); Then tick only management tool box and proceed with installation

If you did that already and got error, please provide the new log and we will try to find out the issue
I have checked the location from ADSIedit and found everything fine there. Attaching new setup log.
