How to make a 32 bit program compatible run under 64 bit

I have a 32 bit program that run on 32 bit,  but does not work on 64 bit even I put it in compatibility mode.
What do I need to check my program so it can run on native 64 bit window?

Thanks.

tommym121--Try Control Panel|Troubleshooting|Programs-Run programs made for previous versions of Windows.
You could try running your program in Windows XP Mode. Windows XP Mode creates a virtual machine that is actually a 32-bit Windows XP running on Windows 7, so your application should run in Virtual PC as it did under Windows XP.

VMLite XP Mode offers similar functions as Microsoft Windows XP Mode.

first of all is this a program you wrote or is it a binary you are trying?

if it is a binary then it is because the application is not designed to run on 64bit versions of Windows and you need to get back to the vendor.
