cannot stop dell support center from installing on startup

Dell Inspiron 530 with Vista.  No matter what I do, I cannot stop the Dell Support Center from installing on startup.  I've done the following:  Removed it by using Add/Remove in the Control Panel, unchecked anything that looked like it might be associated with this program from the startup tab in MSCONFIG.  Checked to be sure it was not a program in the Programs file in "Startup".  I give up.  What can I do to permanently remove this intrusive piece of code from Dell.

Try using Autoruns from Window SysInternals http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902

When it starts to run, open Task Manager and find the executable name.  Search your file system for the.exe and delete all instances.
One more thing on Autoruns - it saves your changes so you can back them out if you make a mistake
