Exchange Server

Should an Exchange box or any email box be on the internet? as in about to browse or access the net any at all?

I don't suppose it matters if you have good security in place (AV, Firewalls etc)

Ok thanks guys.........I had my on the internet but now its beh a firewall with a nat rule public IP to Private IP outside to inside

As long as you don't mistake NAT for security then all is well :)

In very general terms, only the access a system absolutely needs should be granted. But that doesn't necessarily fit all situations.
