Microsoft Outlook 2010 security

Hi,
I used to work with Outlook Express for years. Now I have Microsoft Outlook 2010. I miss a very important feature here. Since there are no entities I need to protect the whole Microsoft Outlook 2010 with a password.  I mean the same style as it was used in Outlook Express. When opening the Microsoft Outlook 2011 there is no prompt asking me to enter a password. I could not find this in any general setting. So in case I loose my laptop anyone can open my mail and read it. Where to protect my Microsoft Outlook 2010? I wonder why such an important security feature is not in there.
Thank you.
J.

You can find encryption settings in a Personal Folders properties. I do not remember if you can change the settings for an existing one. For sure you can set it creating a new one.

I mean:

BTW: "Note You cannot change the encryption setting after you create the .pst file."

janime,

Read "Security settings for .pst files" section.

Sorry guys, I have seen this options I even assigned a new password for a default pst file - nothing happened. I can still freely open and close my MS Outlook 2010. BTW, NetExpert-Warszawa:, the link you posted deals with 2003 version only. It might be similar but anyways it doesn't solve my problem. Thanks. J.

For some reason it did not work.
Now that I twice changed the password for the default account - it started to work.
Thank you.
