asked on

visual studio 2008 is not working in windows7

I am trying to debug a web site on my machine and i am getting the following error

Unable to start debugging on the web server. The Visual Studio Remote Debugger does not support this edition of Windows.

any ideas on how to resolve it.

Where is the website being hosted? "Remote Debugger" indicates you are trying to access a network machine.
what is the OS hosting your website?
Mind you if the OS is 32/64 bit.

@kaufmed I am running it locally off my machine, which is windows7 home professional

@geek nabil I tried the link you gave me above, and no luck, I installed and stil go the same message as before.

because I had it set up incorrectly on my local machine. Developer error.
