The replication will happen auto if both are kept in the same site.
you can enforce the replication by:
- Active Directory Sites and Services .
-Repadmin /syncall /A /e
-replmon tool

Bawer / KCTs  ,

Are you saying the data in DC for domain"A"  can replicate to DC in domain "B" automatically if there are in the SAME site .

The data I referred to is OUs , USERs , Group Policy that store in DC in domain "A" can replicate to DC in domain "B" ( within same site ) AUTOMATICALLY  ??

( assuming it is not AD-Integrated )

Please confirm .

The Domain Partition in AD will not replicate as its specific to the domain, but the configuration and schema will replicate.

Ok , let me go into more specific .

2 Domain Controllers are from 2 difference domains , but within same forest .

If I configure several OUs in first DC in domain "A" , would this OUs  replicate to second DC in domain "B" ??

I read article ( some where ) say that the Active Directory data can be replicated betwen 2 domain controllers on the same site  , I am not sure what data is there refer to . I just like to understand whether Active Directory data can replicate among domain controllers within SAME domain , or , replicate between difference domains .  It is for academy study .

If I confuse you , please let me know .

I think , in the first place , I should I understand , what is " Active Directory Replication" , actually what are replicated between the Domain Controllers  ???

My question start from this article :- http://www.windowsnetworking.com/kbase/WindowsTips/Windows2003/AdminTips/ActiveDirectory/ForcingActiveDirectoryReplication.html

Maybe I am confused on " Active Directory Replication " , replicate what ???

KCTs and Chris ,

Let me put in below statements , correct me if I am wrong .

(1)
Active Directory data are stored in 3 partitions - (a) Domain Partition (b) Configuration Partition
and (c) Schema Partition .

(2)
OUs , USERs , COMPUTERs , Group Policy are stored in Domain Partition.

(3)
The Activie Directory's Data from 3 Partitions   can be replicated AUTOMATICALLY between DCs , as long as they are within SAME domain .

(4)
Only Configuration Partition and Schema Configuration data can be replicated AUTOMATICALLY between DCs as long as they in the the  SAME Forest ( regardless whatever sites they reside)

Please comment my (1), (2),  (3) and (4).  Thanks .
