SQL Trigger "No transaction is active"

Hi,

Using SQL 2005, Server 2003 R2

I have a local sql 2005 server and a online sql 2005 server.

Local server in a domain member server called (domain1)
Online server is a domain controller called (domain1) but both domain are not linked, just named the same.

Online server is added as a linked server on the local server as "LINK_SERVER"

Trying to setup a trigger locally, so when a change happens, it can go online as well.

When I try to run it I get this error:
OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for linked server "LINK_SERVER" returned message "No transaction is active.".

I have done the following so far:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817064
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=873160

Haven't done the windows firewall part from the kb above. But windows firewall is disabled on both firewalls.

Hardware firewall on both sides are completely allowing all connections between the 2 machines.

Please help in rectifying this problem.
Thanks
