Dell Open Manage Webserver - login not accepted

hi,
we set up one of our Dell servers running RHEL5.x to run the Dell Open Manage webserver. The interface on port 1311 comes up nicely, but no matter what, login always fails. Is there any kind of default login/password as NO system user, neither privileged nor unprivileged, works?
regards,
oz.

Hi Oz,

Have you tried the root username and password for the box?

Maybe a long shot but is SELinux  enabled or disbaled?

when you added the user did you use the following (Replacing with your details?)

useradd dellroot
usermod -g root dellroot
passwd dellroot

Very Strange ....

What version of RH are you using and what version of dell open manage? I'll install on a box here and see if i get the same error.

Si

Just another thought do you have any "Special Characters" in the password such as: _ () @, etc?

Cheers
Si
no, nothing of that sort, kept it extra simple just in case...

hi Si,
I guess we will have to do the same. It installed fine now, but the 1311 port doesnt even come up anymore. So something went wrong along the way there. Ill let you know asap, thanks so far!
