Cisco E1000 Router will not install from CD using Vista

Hi,
I cannot get a Cisco E1000 router to install from the Cisco installation CD, because the directions are not correct.  Getting error message that "a wireless device

The directions on the CD connects the PC to the "Internet Port" of the router instead of connecting the PC to one of the four regular router ports and connecting the ethrnet cable from the Comcastg cable modem to the "Internet port" of the router.

Am ablle to setup router manually, but want to use the "Cisco connect" and a USB to connect a laptop to the router. Have connected the router in the past manually, but it only lasts for a few weeks.

Followed the router manual exactly.  Begining to think it is a Vista issue.  Please advise.

Thanks,
Joe
