Page File 130 GB?

I'm running 2008 R2 Enterprise 64bit with 128GB of ram and 16 Processors.

We are running a non production SCOM monitoring server that takes events from maybe 20 servers and stores them on a SAN and the logs on a local disk.

The local disks are configured in a 15krpm raid 0 and Raid 1. They are very small.

For some reason, the page file has taken up 130Gigs of ram consistently. We leave it at system managed but our question is, why would the system need more ram from the slower drive when it has 128GB to work with? We can't figure it out.

Please let us know how this can happen.

Thanks

Ah that makes sense. Thanks a bunch everyone. I doubt we are using even half the memory so I may be reducing the size.

Thanks
