Setting "send as" permissions using Exchange Shell Error: Received a referral to domain.com when...

Exchange 2010 Server 2008 Ent 64, Trying to set send as permission for BES 5.2 by running the follow cmd in exchange shell Add-ADPermission -InheritedObjectType User -InheritanceType Descendents -ExtendedRights Send-As -User "BESAdmin" -Identity "CN=Users,DC=<domain_1>,DC=<domain_2>,DC=<domain_3>"

It returns the error:
Received a referral to domain.com when requesting DC=domain,DC=com from DC.domain.com. You have specified the wrong server for this operation.

At a complete loss.... I seriously thought this command worked when the BES was originally setup. Im having some issues with BES that look to be security related so I wanted to rerun it.

Thanks

Where are you running this command from? Try running it from a shell window on Exchange if you're not already.

Yes, that is where I am running it with the Administrator account

Sorry! The first error was a typo but now I am receiving Access is denied. I am running the cmd with the main administrator account.

Any thoughts?

I followed those steps on the initial setup (and i just rechecked my them along with the mapi cdo ver.) but something still "wonks out" each day and the BBerries can no longer send and some stop receiving emails. Upon a restart of the server, everything works again. I have had to restart it each morning! Restarting the BES services does not fix the issue. A restart is needed. I cannot find anything in the logs that points to a specific time or event causing the problem.
My issue could be that my BES and Exchange are the same server. Has anyone done this before? BES support said it is not recommended. But still, it is working fine now until Event X happens which forces me to do a restart. If I could only find out what Event X is...

Sorry that this question is kind of creeping all over.

OK, I guess I will plan on splitting them but do you know why?

I had them together for many years until I updated to 5.0.2 and exchange 2010.
