Need to inventory PCs to determine who has Office installed

My VP has asked for a count of how many of our workstations in AD have Office 2007 installed. I would like to scan all the computers on the network to determine the number. We own an Enterprise site license for all Microsoft products, so I'm wondering if there's some Microsoft product that will provide this information for me? Or a third party product that will do it? The one caveat is that I'm not allowed to install any kind of agent or service on the PCs in order to determine their software inventory.

http://www.lansweeper.com claims to be free for use and able to do it without installing an agent.

Microsoft has a free audit offering

https://www.microsoft.com/sam/en/us/msia.aspx which appears agentless and can do up to 250 pcs
or write a script to check this key
hkey_local_machine \software\microsoft\office

there are version numbers there as described here:

Desktop Central by ManageEngine should work well for you.  http://www.desktopcentral.com
