Why is ACT! 2010 .ADF file invisible across network?
I'm trying to solve a connectivity problem on an ACT! 2010 database that has been reinstalled from XP to Windowsw 7 32-bit.
Why is it that I can see the .ADF file from the "server" PC when logged in locally but can't see it from across the network (using the local user's login?) I can see the .PAD file from across the network. The folder is set for read, wrire, execute for the Everyone group.
This may or may not be pertinent to the connectivity problem posted seperately.
Thanks in advance for any insights!

I can see them both in the same folder locally, but not when viewing through the share from another PC.
Remember the PAD file can be in other folders ... even on the local machines.
Are you sure you're looking at the right folder?

In turned out to be about permissions to the local folder.
Open the PAD file in Notepad and see the sever and path ... then look for the ADF there
