Automatic Server Recovery Degraded - unable to clear
We recently had a failed HDD on one of our servers.  It has been replaced and the drive has rebuilt itself, however the ASR is still showing as degraded.

I've tried clearing all the Integrated Management Logs, resetting the ASR, and nothing seems to make any difference.

I've attached a couple of screen shots, anyone have any idea how to clear the ASR?

Cheers

Have you rebooted this server since the HDD change? Clearing the message and restarting the SNMP service. Ensure you have your SNMP configuration setup correctly.

Good Luck

Nothing to do with the hard disk problem, Have you tried clearing the ASR event through IML via SmartStart as well as through Systems Management Homepage?

I've cleared the IML so there are no events left in that, but its a remote server so is a bit difficult to get the smart start cd into it and even more so to reboot it as the server is used 24/7

Do you have an ILO connection to the server?

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
