I have a server running MS SBS 2008 Standard FE. <br />
All of a sudden the OS will not update. <br />
When i launch windows update it fails saying:<br />

Code 80244008 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Windows update encountered an unknown error.<br />
<br />
<br />
I googled the error code but was getting nowhere fast.<br />
<br />
Please any help would be appreciated. The server is way outdated on security patches. <br />

Hello and thank you for taking the time out to read my question.

Code 80244008      Windows update encountered an unknown error.


I googled the error code but was getting nowhere fast.

Please any help would be appreciated. The server is way outdated on security patches.

Small Business Server (SBS) is a line of server operating systems targeted at small businesses by bundling the operating system with a number of other Microsoft products that would normally need to be purchased or licensed separately.
