First time HP ML330 G6 RAID configuration
Dear Sir
I just got a server HP ML330 G6 model with all the CDs but am facing problem building the Array, on the Smart Start CD there is an option called RAID Array Configuration but there is no RAID in it. Also on the direction it says to press ctrl+A or f8 for building Array but it doesn't work.
Can anyone help me on this please?
Thanks

The thing is that f8 or ctrl+A doesn't work and there is no messages for it either.
Here I have pasted a direction of RAID configuration on the documentation that came with the server but it doesn't work. :

Thanks,
I don't have experience with a ML330 G6, only DL and BL-models, but I guess it's similar. When the server is booting, there's a black "ProLiant"-screen, with a few fatures mentioned in the right under corner. At that moment there's a mesage to press any key to view POST messages. Press that any key and you will see more information about the boot/POST-progress.
At a certain moment, your RAID-card will be initialized, and at THAT moment you have to press F8. In the PDF-document you linked, it's described on page 31:
POST runs, and all controllers in the server are initialized one at a time in the current boot order
sequence. If a controller is connected to one or more drives, an ORCA prompt message appears
during the initialization process for that controller.
As soon as you see the ORCA prompt for the controller that you want to set as the boot controller,
continue with the next step.
4. Press the F8 key.
The ORCA main menu appears. If the controller is configured with a logical drive, one of the menu
options is to set the controller as the boot controller.
Or maybe there's another problem? Does the keyboard work (during POST), can you for instance get into the BIOS-config using F9? Are there any disks connected to the RAID-card? Does the RAID-controller appear during the boot-process (with or without logical drives)?

I told you you had to turn on RAID in BIOS!
And I asked if the the server does have a RAID-controller (P410 or something?)...

Before starting from the SmartStart CD, during the POST, you can press F8 to get into the menu of the RAID-card and create a RAID-set. Perhaps you have to press any key to see when the RAIDcard is initialized during POST.
