Having a few issues logging into the internal database.

Background is I am getting a lot of 17137 errors in the event log on my sbs2008 box.
Tried to follow this guide to resolve it:

When I try to login to the SQL Management Studio Express I get the follow error

I then get the following error messege:
TITLE: Connect to Server

Cannot connect to \\.\pipe\MSSQL$MICROSOFT##SSEE\sql\query.

Login failed for user 'Administrator account'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18456)

Another odd thing I noticed is when I go to the surage are configuation tool and change Local connections only -> Local and Remote using both TCP/IP and named pipes after I reset the service and reopen the tool it is back to Local Connections Only.
