VM Windows server says unexpected power failure on reboot?
Experts,
VMware: Windows Server 2008 R2 server running BES Xpress,
If I reboot the virtual machine, when Windows starts back up, and I log in, I get the Windows Shutdown Event Tracker, asking why the computer shut down unexpectedly.
What causes this and how do I fix? Any suggestions?
Thanks all!

Is that what I should do, just turn it off? Is there no way to correct it?

@coolsport00: never got this to work correctly!
Bummer...1 of the several reasons why I'm neglecting going to 2K8; "paulsolov" says it's fine...I personally have yet to see that OS as being "fine" for anything :P 2K3 is so stable (generally speaking)...I personally don't see a need to convert to 2K8 anytime soon.

@coolsport00: I got it to work on 2008, and then R2, doesn't work!
We've only just started upgrading are boxes to 2008 R2, but that's only because of large apps, 4GB+.
personally, I don't think Win2k8 R1 or R2, runs as nicely virtualised as WIn2k3 R1 or R2!!!

This is a known issue with Blackberry - if you stop the Blackberry services (Particulary the Blackberry controller service) before you shut down you won't have the issue when it comes back up.

"For a quick fix, I created a script that contained 'net stop "BlackBerry Controller" ', started mmc, added the Global Policy Object and used it to add the above script to the shutdown process for the server."
Is a way to automate the process
Good Luck

Yes, warm reboots. I am doing the reboot from within Windows. I do not restart the machines using the VIC, always within Windows....
Sorry, should have specified the way I'm rebooting them in the original post...
