Email count management dashboard

A sales manager wants to include in his management dashboard the number of emails sent and received and the number of contact items added by his sales people. He also wants the phone call count, but that's another matter.

I don't think there's anything off the shelf that'll accomplish this in an Exchange/Outlook environment. I'd greatly appreciate any comments and URLs to any tools or scripts that may be purchased to see how close I can come to meeting his requirements.

The easiest way is to copy the logs  of all sent/received emails for those sales people into a excel spreadsheet and use a count formula.  Of course you'll need to do this everytime he wants it.

Disappointing not to get any meaningful answers. This is what I'm now doing. I used SilentMail to automate copies of sent messages being sent to an smtp server, and a parser to grab the emails from drop folders as they arrive and insert records into MSSQL. Now I'll write a .NET web app to select and display.
