Troubleshooting Sending mail from Exchange

SO I am setting up Exchange for the first time. I had it all working fine sending mail from exchange. I needed to add POP3 & IMAP access. I got it all setup but now I don't know what changed. I can only send email locally. Email sent to other domains sit in the queues under 'Internet Mail SMTP Connector'. How do I get this fixed ?

Have you tried running the mailflow troubleshooter tool in the toolbox? That may give you some pointers where your problem lies.

Making progress. So it reported that I was using a non standard port (I had changed the port to 587). So instead of changing it I just added 25 so now it's using both 25 and 587. When I ran the report again there was no errors. One email I sent went through but another one going to a hotmail account got this error 'There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server.  Please contact your system administrator.'
Nevemind - I take it back. Must have been an error from an older message. Everything seems to working fine now !!! Thanks
