Joomla article code

Hi,

Why oh why does Joomla output a load of tables around any content I am adding? i don't really want any code to be wrapped around my content.

Any ideas on how I can change this?

You're in too deep. It's a religious question. Some (including me) contend that not all tables are bad, many are great. Joomla didn't put an emphasis on divs. There's no fix for this problem.

Is this in the template? The bees template is a good example of one without tables:  http://www.joomla-beez.com/

Yes I am using rhuk_milkyway and already implemented quite a bit of my design into it.

I am finding the template is a little bit too rigid for what I am trying to do (in places).

Any advice on how to proceed?

It depends on what time you have available with this project, if you dont want to have the fun with messing around with tables you need to start replicating your modifications in a new div based template or a modified version of the bees template. The further you get down the road with the current the more difficult it will be to go back.

Yea ... so which template would be the best/cleanest to adopt and start editing?
