Enterprise Vault is not archiving mail from new mailboxes
Hi
I am using Symantec's Enterprise Vault to archive the mail in our company and just started archiving some mailboxes.
For some reason the last two mailboxes that I've added to the vault are not being archived and I wonder why this would be.
I have a EV error 41291 which refers to connectivity to the exchange, either with persmissions or the task logon account but this is the same account which has worked for a couple of months now and it still works for one of our exchagne servers.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thaks

Hi,
Did you try to run Deployment scanner - this could be usefull tool even after the deployment of EV since it will check environment and report everything?

You need to verify several things.
1. Ensure that your VSA (Vault Service Account) is still the same with same password, otherwise you'll need to do several things to update
2. Ensure that your Exchange System Account mailbox nor the journal mailbox are hidden, unhide if they are
3. Check the logs on the server
4. Make sure you didn't make VSA a domain admin, it may break archiving since domain admins lose several exchnage permissiosn by default

Sorry for late reply, havent' been able to work over the weekend.
Vvlada: no, I haven't tried the deployment scanner, it is a good idea which I will do as soon as.
Paul:
1,2 were my first usual suspects, they're fine.,
3. logs on the server have this:
"Faulting application name: JournalTask.EXE, version: 9.0.1.1073, time stamp: 0x4cec5b4e"
But journalling is working for my other two exchagne servers, it seems to be a problem with just one of them.
4. VSA is not a domain admin, never was
