Make sure the file is not read only. Check the files properties in windows and make sure the Read Only box is NOT ticked. Outlook will not work with read only PST files. You can not use a PTS off of a CD for this reason.<br />

I am using Outlook 2010 with pop3. I have an old pst file from a win xp office 2003. I want to add it as an archive. When I try to add it, I get 'file access is denied'. I have full access to this pst and have taken ownership of it.
