Hi workflow80,

What does the event tracking code have to do with tracking a WordPress category?  You will know how each category performs from the slug that is recorded in GA...

Our marketing departement ask me to have google stats for a specific category in the wordpress blog. they sent me the link with the event tracking code. I'm not an expert of google analytics.

I didn't understand your comment regarding «..from the slug that is recorded in GA..»

When you create a category in WordPress, the category name gets converted to a slug that becomes part of the URL:

http://www.yoursite.com/categoryslug/whatever/permalink/structure/goes/here

If you are not using the slug as part of the URL, you should.

Once you have the category in the URL, just set a filter in Google Analytics to track that directory and you're done.  No need to deal with events at all.
