Nessus Windows File Content Scans

I am using a nessus scanner to try to do a wondows file content check on a SAN device but am getting the following error:

24760 Communication Error
It was not possible to establish a WMI connection.. .

WMI is a Windows only service.  Your SAN likely does not have a WMI service and you will not be able to run that scan.

Any idea if Nessus supports a different option for the same type of scan?

Is the SAN not attached to a Windows machine?  You should be able to scan the files on the drive of the Windows machine.

no it is a standalone devie with Windows Controlled Shares but is not a windows machine

Right, but a Windows machine must attach to the shares in some fashion, mapping a drive letter correct?

Run the scan on that machine.
