I need to implement an additional functionality on a web site that is already allowing upload of images, pdf and general scan documents. &nbsp;The additional function simple need to identity some of the text from the upload images or pdf into a database, so that I can use these data.<br />

The website is written in php 5, running on a shared linux web hosting service with MySQL db. <br />

any suggestion on where i can find a framework, sdk somewhere that can do a good job without a lot of development time? &nbsp;I found openocr but the review of it hasn't been great. &nbsp;It is preferably open source but not absolutely necessary. <br />
