Can you tell how I can have the video paused when the page loads.
It should play only when the user clicks the play button.

I had to set <param name="autostart" value="false" />

Another issue, the quality of the embedded video is worse than the quality of the same video if I download and play it on my computer using WMP.

Did u used a video in ur machine or something like YouTube video
If it is YouTube they have videos of various qualities but they show low quality ones

I didn't use YouTube. Its a video I created on my computer - a .wmv video.
