Access 2003 Form- only add records

Is there a property on a form would only allow new records on the form. I have a table  and 1 form.  when I open the form it will only allow a new record to be added.  I am assuming its a form property.  I am opening the form without any vba coding or macros.  ??

set the Data Entry property of the form to YES

did you make table1 as the record source of the form?

Yes i Did.   I dont understand why the form is doing that..  I created another form,  it worked fine...

check the setting of

Allow Additions      the default for this property is Yes  and must be set to Yes

then, that form is corrupted. just delete the form and create a new one.
