I have inherited a flash glossary (part of an eLearning course) which partially works. All of the elements function as expected apart from the fact that the description/detail does not appear. The menus and description headings appear fine.

I have managed to unzip the flash/XFL file to see under the hood in the DOMDocument xml file but I cant get to grips with how it works, it's pretty complex.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Brian

PS, I cant upload the XFL file as EE does not accept the format so I have included everything else

 DOMDocument.xml star-glossary.xml glossary.swf

Hi Brian the flash itself would be more useful in this case.
you say the description and headings appear fine but not the details, so I would assume that the xml is loaded correctly but you're not accessing the nodes correctly.
check the code where the xml is being loaded and where the details are supposed to be, do a trace to see what is returned.
also make sure that there are no errors when compiling.
you havent' mentioned if you're using AS2 or AS3 - but search for the .xml - that would be first port of call.
