Greetings all! &nbsp;I am working on setting up a VPN with a pair of Cisco RV-042 routers. &nbsp;I have set up the IP addresses as I understand what they should be per the instructions. &nbsp;However I am not getting a VPN tunnel. &nbsp;What I've done is entered the IP information in the VPN, GATEWAY to GATEWAY section. &nbsp;It all looks good. &nbsp;However I am not getting through. &nbsp;<br />
I am unable to ping either remote location from either location. (Firewall?) &nbsp;Both locations are up and running on the internet, just not able to talk to each other. &nbsp;I am sure this is just a config issue. Any help would be appreciated.

VPN set up using Linsys RV042 with static IPs not working

A virtual private network (VPN) is a network that uses a public telecommunication infrastructure, such as the Internet, to provide remote offices or travelling users access to a central organizational network securely. VPNs encapsulate data transfers using secure cryptographic methods and other security mechanisms to ensure that only authorized users can access the network and that the data cannot be intercepted.

Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is the set of networking protocols that define end-to-end connectivity specifying how data should be packeted, addressed, transmitted, routed and received at the destination. This functionality is organized into four abstraction layers which are used to sort all related protocols according to the scope of networking involved.
