Import files don't appear in Library view after importing in Picasa 3

I am using Picasa 3 to resize (file size) photos that I get from a DVD.
I can import them just fine, (and it says "aquired," but the photos dont show
up in the library view, so I can't export them.

Any ideas?

Maybe it does not support DVD?

Depending on your windows
Windows 7 you can use VSO image resizer it's not free but I just click continue to use it for free
http://www.vso-software.fr/products/image_resizer/
In XP Image resizer,
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/learnmore/tips/eschelman2.mspx
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
Both tools are added to the r/click options
