Our legal has an investigation going on, and asked me if we could recover an email which was deleted last year 2010 december. I've found the backup tapes and succesfully restored it, and put it on my shared mailbox, however, i cannot see the clients "Dumpster". is there a way to view the restored mailbox' dumpster?

hi Busbar, thanks for your reply-

Yes, it has been deleted. the scenario is that, the mail was received the 13th december, the backup ran 14th december. so what we are trying to prove is, could we recover it from the "dumpster" of the 13th from the backup of the 14th? is this how the dumpster works?

ok so maybe you can answer my other question :) if you don't mind? what's the difference between "Recover mailbox" and "Merge mailbox"? then we could close the topic :) and give you your winning point of course!

Thanks again busbar...
