For some reason the line height on my P tags is very large, but I ahve not set the line height. When I try to set a line height to .right-column-content .entry p , it does not take.

Am I doing something wrong?

It's due to the padding on the class:

    .right-column-content .entry p

i have removed the padding, and the gap still looks very large between P tags.

You still have "padding-bottom: 20px" defined for the class, hence there is a 20px gap between each one.
