I have three monitors and Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro opens stretching across all three monitors. I have repairing and reinstalling with no effect. I tried disabling certain plug-ins such as Engagement Tickmarks with same issue happening again. I have played around with the settings but it seems not to have any effect.

Have you tried resizing the window onto one screen then maximizing it? Then close and open it again.

Yes it doesn't remember the settings even after saving.

I found this.

http://objectmix.com/adobe-acrobat/245407-dual-monitor-w-acrobat-8-1-a.html

Open a PDF. Now, un-maximize the file. Move it over to the other monitor. Now, close the document WITHOUT maximizing it on the new monitor.

Now try opening a pdf. It should open on the new monitor. Maximize it, then close it again. Now, a new pdf will open on the new monitor, and it will be maximized upon opening.

So apparently the trick is to close it when it isn't maximized on whatever monitor you want it to open on. Adobe will remember whether a document was maximized or not and open another pdf in the same way, but it will only update the monitor to use when a document is closed while not maximized.

There was a CCH add-on that made the program open in extended mode. I switched it to use a single monitor and it started working fine.
