Connect PC with VGA port running Win 7 to a TV with HDMI?

Got an old laptop running windows 7 and it has a VGA port along with the USB and Audio Ports. No HDMI.
I have a new LED TV and I want to re-purpose my PC so that I can browse the net (Flickr, netflix etc) on my big TV.

Now I know that if the laptop had an HDMI port everything would be very simple. My question is:

Is there a way to connect my laptop that has a VGA port to my TV which has a HDMI port? If Yes. How?

Well if you have a receiver you can run the audio through the receiver with a y audio cable like this:
http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=y+audio+cable&um=1&biw=1568&bih=779&ie=UTF-8&cid=11265261351552946518&ei=PulZTdqRK4q2tgfx16zVCw&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CJABEPMCMAM#

Otherwise if you dont have a receiver there may be a way to use the y audio cable with your tv and change the settings to accept the audio through the rca inputs as opposed to the HDMI input.
