I'll try to start from the beginning of when I started seeing problems.
I was trying to add a blackberry user to our BBexpress server and the server was telling me that the user/password/domain were incorrect. I have the password saved on my system so I know it's right, I manually typed it in also, no go.
Then I started getting users complaining that our Copy Machine (which has this DocSend unit to scan stuff) was saying Authentication Error whenever anyone tried to sign in. Users could sign into their desktops without any trouble, no users are having any trouble.
So I started looking into the server... which first off I can't RDP into the server, it won't find it.
The event viewer on our PDC is full of the following error...
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Userenv
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1053
Time: 4:42:18 PM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Windows cannot determine the user or computer name. (The RPC server is unavailable. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

I read somewhere on the internet trying to fix this to do dcdiag at the command prompt which returned:
[rome] LDAP search failed with error 58
Win32 Error 58.
***Error: The machine, rome could not be contacted, because of a bad net response. Check to make sure that this machine is a domain controller.
I ran it from the server (Rome) and it is most definitely a DC
Then it said to do netdom query fsmo
To which I got
The RPC server is unavailable
What the heck is going on? Thanks!
