We want to developt a custom event content type, it will work as an agenda of events, thats the easiest part.
We want the users to be able to register as an attendee to the event but I have no idea how to do that.
Examples are appreciated

Thanks

I would create a site template for an event and then add a list in there for the attendees where people can add themselves as attendees (or you provide them with a page to subscribe that then adds them to the list)

This is an internet site, so the  admin can only create the event but not the site

Maybe what you mean is

1. The admin will create an event on the backend.
2.  Create a workflow that creates a list of users, associated with that event, This workflow will fire on the list item adding for the event list.
3.  When users want to subscribe, they will click, and as they are logged in, I will have all their info, so I can just create a list item in the attendees list?

Maybe in that way?
