Lotus Notes Calendar View is Empty

I have an issue with a user to whom I am giving Lotus Notes end user support. He when opens his calendar his already created calendar entries just vanish away and not giving any error prompt too. Entries seems to be there for some time but then get disappears suddenly.
Please note that I can not reinstall the Lotus Client. Please give me some other solution.
Also tried on different machines but the problem remains the same.

Do you see any documents when you select Show > Summary, or Summarize (depending on the version) in the upper right corner of the calendar view.
That would happen if the date is entered in the wrong way.

You can also check "All documents" view in user's mail db to see whether you can locate your calendar entries there.

One more thing to check, default new document in calendar is Reminder and default setting in Preferences is that the calendar doesn't show reminders.  You can change these two settings if you go to:
    More > Preferences > Calendar & ToDo > Display >
        Entries > Entry type
        View > Display ToDo entries

You can also try Ctrl + Shift + F9 to rebuild (index: which docs are shown) all views in your mail db.
Or Shift + F9 to rebuild just the current view.

It sounds more like a corrupted design.

To correct the design:
File/Application/Replace Design
select the correct mail template

Make sue Show Unread Only, as well as other filtering mechanisms, are all off. This has been many users many times (and not just Notes users!)

I would check for the appointments in the other views, such as All Documents. If they aren't gone form there, then they should not be gone from the calendar. At worst, the claendar is failing to display properly, and might need to be replaced as per Sjef.

I have done all the above steps (replace design,refresh design,runs different commands on mail file like updall,fixup,compact) but problem is not resolve.And on webaccess all calander enteries are showing correctly.

The only thing that not too far-fetched now is that there are multiple Calendar-view (with the same name) in the database. Can you open the database using the Designer, and check how many there are? In any case, you could remove the Calendar-view and then Refresh the design in order to get it back.

And if you make a Notes copy of the database? Does it contain appointments in the Calendar?

Hi,
one other thing is that when i revert back its template from 8.5.2 to 7 clander entries start viewing in lotus notes.

Any differences in Calendar view (first compare selection formulas) between mail templates of those two versions?

I am closing this thread because reverting the design worked out but as it is not the permanent or desired solution so it can't be taken as an accepted solution of this issue.

I tried it and it worked out. Temporarily it was acceptable because I didn't want to get into design details as suggested by some experts.
