SharePoint 2010 Opening Shared Docs

We have an employee portal on SharePoint 2010. One of our users cannot open a shared Word document  - the screen is just blank (see attached screen shot).

What needs to be done to correct this issue? Screenshot

Sorry I ment internet explorer. I assume this is on windows XP SP3 correct ?

I have had similar issues with the IE 9 Beta on certain display fields. uninstalling it will roll it back.

I am confident this should correct your issue.

There is a Release Canditate out which you can try if you want to try, should be a better more updated version then the Beta.

All else fails go back to IE 8 till they resolve it.
