Does SSIS running  pump data to local machine

Where is the best location to actually RUN an SSIS dtsx script? On the machine where the database resides or any machine? Let's say I have server A and B-   both have SQL Server installed. Data is pumping from table on Server A into holding table also on Server A. Will it be faster actually running the script on A- or if I run it on B or even  C (my desktop with Integration Services Development Studio)?

Thanks!

It's always best for the package to be located on the server with the db instance you're going to hit up, but the overhead of doing it across the network really depends on what all is going on in the package.
