Access - Outlook - Citrix

I have built an application for using Access and Outlook working together for a large corporation.  With the back end on the shared network drive and the front end on the desktop, the application works great for multiple users, and interacts great between Access and Outlook.  The company decided they wanted to move the Access portion to Citrix.
With Access on Citrix, the Access portion still works great.  But the calls from Access to Outlook no longer work.  My question: is it possible to get Access and Outlook to talk when Access is on Citrix and Outlook isn't?

You mean have an Access application running in a Terminal Server/Citrix session and have it interact with Outlook on the user's desktop computer?  No, this won't work.  TS/Citrix is sending screen shots/keystrokes/mouse-clicks back and forth between the user's machine and the TS/Citrix session.

I guess I should have added that by installing and running Outlook in the Citrix envrionment then your application functionality will be restored.
