Need to add email links in iWeb with no emaill address, but adding values in email body

Hi

I am designing a site using iWeb 2008. I have added a couple of email links, but it auto loads with a "to" email address. I need to create the link without a pre-loaded email address in tow. I would also like to create the email with something loaded in the email body, but cannot figure that one out.

If I need a later version os iWeb, I'm fine with that.

Any advise would be welcome.

Thanks!

You need to export as html and edit with a different program like textwranger http://www.barebones.com/products/textwrangler/ then add the following line where you want to linkSend Email

Thanks for this great advice. It was exactly what I asked for. Thanks!

One other question...

Can I embed a link to a file (in the site's root) in the content of the body argument in the mailto link, so I can offer someone to download the file in the email message?

Thanks again.

Great stuff.

You are better off adding a url/link to the file in the email. It possible but you need to program the form. Keep it simple.

Thanks again.

I ended up offering the link to download the file on the page itself, before the email link.

Thanks for your great assist.
