Cursor jumps to the start of the sentence on laptop sometimes when typing

How often is this the keyboard and how often something else?

I dont want to order a keyboard if thats not the problem.

Its a mates laptop.

Usually this is related to people accidentally touching the touch pad below the keyboard on the laptop. You can disable the touch pad and see if that's the cause of your problem.

How is the touch pad disabled?
In the Bios?

If so the user would need to use a mouse?
