I would suggest you to for latest Dell XPS models if your budget is within £1000 as XPS is now coming with very good configuration that can practically support all games and some 3D games as well. Here is the sample configuration that i gone through yesterday only<br />

RAM - 4GB<br />
Graphics Card- 2GB Nvidia<br />

I guess this conf will suffice for all games, but if you want to play some really heavy 3D games and if you can up your budget to little more go for Alienware it is the THE BEST gaming laptop on earth. But it will cost you around £1500.<br />
