Hi

I am trying to install ClearOS Enterprise 6 on an HP ML110 G6. I would like to know if I can load the Red Hat Linux Drivers from HP for the B110i RAID Controller?

If the drivers are binary, the answer is no, since they are compiled specifically for certain versions of linux kernel, as well as specifically for the redhat variation.   If the drivers are available as source code, then you may be able to get them to compile & link if you are good with C and makefiles.

However. These are disk drivers, and the last thing you want to do is risk your data.  Even if the driver loads off-the-shelf, it certainly has not been tested. They may work just fine until you have a disk failure.

So just don't even bother.

Hi dlethe

Thanks for the solution.
Can I condigure a RAID 1 config using ClearOS built in RAID Software?

If you are referring to using the build-in md driver ... go for it, this is the approved, appropriate, and "BEST" way to do RAID1, unless you go with a premium (I emphasize premium, i.e, a high-end with ECC and battery backup RAID controller).

I went for the built in driver. Works great.

Thanks
